Molly Hopkins Hanes

Molly Hopkins Hanes built her criminal defense practice in Raleigh because she chose to, not because it was easy. She knows Wake County Superior Court the way attorneys only do when they have spent years inside it, watching how cases move, how prosecutors think, and where the pressure points are.

Her first job out of law school was at the Wake County Public Defender's Office. The caseload was heavy, the clients had everything to lose, and the work demanded full attention every day. That foundation is still visible in how she practices. She went private, but the orientation never changed.
